Interesting thoughts on Islam

Islam in Arabic means "surrender"

There are 5 Pillars in Islam
1 - Affirmation of Faith   (belief in God)
2 - Five daily prayer times.
3 - Charitable Contributions
4 - Commitment to fasting during holy month.
5 - To make a pilgrimage to Mecca

If Christians worldwide could be that committed, the world would be a different place.     Of course a trip to Jerusalem instead of Mecca and commit to fast at least once a year or when the Holy Spirit prompts you.

Fundamental Islamic groups prefer martyrdom to natural death.   Dying for our faith in Christ is probably not on the average Christians  wish list.    But the Bible says "... for me to live is Christ and to die is gain ..."

Thankfully, in the Christian faith, God does not ask us to die for Him, but rather sent His Son, Jesus to die for us, so that we might live an abundant life.

We need to thankful to God that we had an opportunity to meet such a wonderful, merciful, God, filled with grace and love, that made a way for us to enjoy eternal life without having to pay a price.
