Thursday 23rd Mar., was the 38th meeting in
19 days at the Burning Bush Tabernacle in Grayling Michigan. 38
meetings in the presence of the Lord. You would think that people
would be tired after so many meetings, but not so. God's glory and
refreshing rain fell each meeting, and even though people had driven in
nightly from 1 to 2 hours away, the enthusiasm was there every meeting.
The morning meeting was a
worship/prayer meeting between 11:30am and around 2pm (or whenever God is
done), every day except Sunday, and then nightly at 7pm for our
revival meeting.
Our history with the city of
Grayling, goes back to the first revivals we did back in 1992. God
has had us return at least every two years and we have had many great
meetings.
But even though the meetings have
always been good, there was a fresh wave of Glory and and intensity of the
anointing from the first Sunday morning meeting. People kept
remarking that when they entered the sanctuary, they could feel the
presence of God. I had some business to attend to one morning,
and I walked in about 30 minutes late and walked through a wall of glory.
I spent the next half hour weeping before the Lord and then the next half
hour weeping and laughing. It was incredible.
There is something about this wave
that is different, it is full of the Glory of the Lord. From the
very first song, we entered into His presence. There was no waiting
or striving, we just slipped into the Glory Cloud. We
had people driving in from surrounding cities and even a group of
Mennonite people coming nightly. It has been wonderful to see young
and old touched by the glory of God. There was a level of
hunger I have not seen in a long while.
People received their healing even as they sat and
soaked under the glory and presence of God. We prayed for a workman
who came in on crutches one morning with an injured knee. He
started laughing and said he could feel the heat in his knee. He walked
out 10 minutes later without crutches. We baptized him and his wife
on Sat night.
A Lady received a healing for a throat condition
that had been bugging her for a long time and another elderly granny had a
back condition healed. People begin to spontaneously weep as the
glory of God fills the place. The joy of the Lord has been very
evident in each meeting.
People have been set free with a new found liberty
and have fallen in love with Jesus all over again. One lady
took a weeks leave and came from down state near Flint and received a
profound touch from God. It is simply too difficult to explain all
that God did but you know it had to be good when so many came nightly and
were sad when we announced that the meetings would end on Mar 23.
What was also very significant to me was the fact that I had been in every
meeting and had lead the worship, preached and prayed for people every
meeting, but I was not tired but rather felt quickened by the anointing of
the Holy Spirit.
What was particularly significant to me was the fact
that in all the years of doing meetings in Grayling, I have never had any
other churches open to me in the area. But from this revival, three
churches have invited me to do meetings in May of this year.
We will return to the Burning Bush for another week of revival at the end
of May 06
