Send the Flood Lord!!

During the past 10 years we have witnessed a move of the Spirit of God that has swept through the church like a mighty rushing wind. Thousands of believers have been refreshed, renewed and revitalized by the power of God. A fresh anointing resulting in fresh vision and purpose has been poured out on the Body of Christ. All over the world, people are crying out for a touch of God and He has responded by fulfilling His promise in Isa 44:3 " For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground".

In the midst of all of the blessings that have flowed to the church, we have also seen a deluge of criticism and faultfinding leveled at anyone who is moving in the direction of the River of God. Christians are arguing over doctrine and presentation, while the world are seeking for answers in the wrong places. Instead of finding common ground, Christians are hunting for the heresy in the church instead of hunting for the hurting and hell-bound in the world. We are losing ground while we dismember the Body of Christ with our constant bickering and faultfinding. The church seems to be more interested in LOSING THE SAVED THAN WINNING THE LOST.

What we need is an outpouring of love and compassion that will break the hardness of people's hearts. What we don't need is the intervention of man in yet another church growth program. We need a visible and tangible sign of God's glory and presence in the earth. The answer is not a change of doctrine, but a change of heart. The answer is not in a doctrinally perfect church, but in a people who will love God with all their hearts and abandon their own purpose and agenda. And that can only come from a divine intervention of God in the lives of people. We need to be cultivating a heart after God and this will come when leaders quit their arrogance and pride and "better than you" attitudes and set the example to God's people of what it means to be "Christlike."

No single church or denomination has the answer. We have too many differing opinions and doctrines for it to work. God has strategically planned His whole move. There have been and will be many errors, mistakes and imperfections in the midst of His revival, but that is only a further indication of the need for a major outpouring of the grace and mercy of God.

We don't have to pray for revival. It came with the upper room experience 2,000 years ago and has never stopped. We need to pray for God's wisdom in knowing how to encourage it and how to deal with the imperfections that arise.

God bless you.
