After a very mild winter in January, winter really hit the
great lakes region with a vengeance in February.
To schedule meetings during this time up north is probably
not the most logical thing.
However, when
people are hungry for God's presence, they will make every
effort to get to the meetings. This was the case in the
Cold Spring revival meetings the last week of Feb 07.
After driving through very snowy conditions, I did not
expect many people.
But as I
rounded the corner, I was pleasantly surprised to find the
parking lot already filling up with vehicles. People came
in spite of the fact that they might not get back home. We
had the snow steadily falling outside and the rain of the Spirit
falling inside the building.
The wintry
conditions continued all week but people came. There were
unfortunately some who could not get out of their driveways
until the snow plow came and plowed the roads.
It's almost
like that in the spirit. People are stuck in the snows of
tradition, until the plow of the Holy Ghost comes in to free
them. They are hungry, but they need someone to come
and pull them out.
